Laser therapy is a low intensity light therapy that uses wavelengths that are visible to the eye. The process of light therapy is often compared to photosynthesis in plants, because the laser light penetrates to muscles, deep tendons and bones and delivers energy to the cells that need extra fuel for the body’s natural healing process. It emits light at 808nm, which is the wavelength that best penetrates body tissue to speed up the healing process, decrease pain and reduce inflammation.
