Pre-Placement Functional Testing (PPFT)

We have an established and affordable Post Offer Employment Testing (POET) program for our companies. It offers considerably more information regarding the background and health status of a new hire rather than just a pre-employment physical alone. This four-pronged approach includes a medical history, physical examination, baseline testing, and functional testing based on the physical demands of the job.
Drug & Breath Alcohol Testing
Our drug testing services include consortium set up with random selection capabilities, flexible lab based and rapid urine drug testing for DOT and non-DOT applications, hair sample drug testing, onsite drug testing, and breath alcohol testing. Drug and breath alcohol testing can be performed in conjunction with DOT/non-DOT physicals. Pre-employment functional testing, reasonable suspicion, random testing, and also post-accident or post-incident situations are areas where drug and/or breath alcohol testing can be applied.
DOT Physicals
A DOT Physical evaluates a driver’s vision, blood pressure, and a complete review of their medical history. This can help ensure that a driver does not have certain health conditions and can safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with DOT rules and regulations.
Office & Industrial Ergonomics
Shifting Healthcare offers jobsite ergonomic evaluations to assist employers in preventing recurrent injuries. With three providers trained and certified in onsite assessment of the workplace, we are able to formulate solutions to lower injury rates and unnecessary workman’s compensation costs.
These solutions include: proper workstation design, stretching, and a host of other suggestions to lower injury rates.
Work Injury Treatment
An emerging trend is for business and industry to partner with a healthcare clinic in the event of a work injury when treating an injured employee. Accountability and communication between employer and provider(s) benefits both the injured worker and the employer by reducing lost time during the injury with a stay at work approach, reducing lengthy treatment times, and minimizing any discord between employee and employer.
